Explore new opportunities, develop practical skills and build confidence through learning at Walton Lea
our social enterprises
Walton Lea is a hive of creativity with activities focused on our learners and their families. We tailor tasks to learners’ specific needs
and interests, allowing everyone to learn at their own pace. And we’re always open to suggestions for new activities.
Most activities take place in and around the safe and calming environment of the Victorian walled garden. Our workshops and craft
rooms are also situated here. Every learner is supported by a trained volunteer, which creates an atmosphere of trust and support that
we’re very proud of.
Lots of our activities are complementary, for example items created in arts and crafts and the woodworking workshop are all for sale in
our on-site shop. Bike recycling and furniture upcycling meet sustainability objectives and support social and environmental issues.
We also recycle practically everything we use and create.
With eight social enterprises to choose from, learners are sure to find an activity that will challenge and match their interests. Each
area combines practical and technical skills with opportunities to explore and build confidence.
Benefits to learners
